Climate and what to pack
Barbados has all-year round sunshine with average temperatures of 30 degrees centigrade. The rainy season begins in July and ends in November. So remember to pack accordingly, ie. you will not need your winter coat!
Do you have pets?
Your pet is simply another member of the family, so of course they can come with you! You will need to ensure that you have all the relevant documentation to prepare for their travel.

Before You Leave for Barbados
Although you can find most items on the island, it might be useful to consider the essentials before you board your flight:
Light clothes suitable for the tropics
Cotton dresses and light jackets for formal wear. Certain restaurants, government buildings and banks have a dress code. Businessmen wear a shirt and tie and sometimes a jacket. Women wear smart dresses.
Comfortable shoes including sandals, flip flops, sneakers and formal footwear. There are many sporting activities to enjoy, like hiking, so remember to pack appropriate footwear
Bathing suits and swimwear for the beach and pool
It is against the law to wear camouflage clothing and materials
During the ‘winter’ months, it can get cooler in the evenings. Pack lightweight, warmer clothing to prepare (and for the cinema)
Electric sockets are compatible with the American format
Currency is the Barbados Dollar, but most establishments accept US Dollar as well
Ensure you have all relevant and important documents including; driving license, passport, visa and other identification (some establishments require proof of identification when paying by credit card)
Remember to make sure that your passport, credit cards and other important documents are in date and valid for your duration of stay
Toiletries and medication: you can get most products and prescriptions in Barbados. However, check with your health care provider for essential items
Rainy season occurs between July and December, so pack for intermittent and brief downpours; rain jacket
